Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge is now over but I am still taking action, although slowly, sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day. I have learned a lot about myself while doing the challenge and there are a few things that I need to address, one of which is to overcome my technophobe issues. One of the things that we were encouraged to do on Dean Holland’s Quick Start Challenge was to comment on each other’s blogs. Out of respect for the other members I decided to visit as many of the sites as possible and leave a comment. I think that I have visited as many as I could, well over 100 in all.
This exercise has ended up being quite time consuming, but I do not regret one minute of it. It takes time to look around the site, to read the posts and to leave an appropriate comment (at least I hope I have). Thinking about what comment to leave took me quite some time but I noticed as I went along that I was able to get quicker as I got more into the mindset. There were however some sites where you were unable to leave comments.
I have visited some fantastic sites and learned quite a bit in the process. You could tell that some people had more experience at setting up sites and posting, but people who were really new to the whole process did extremely well in the time frames set and quite often the enthusiasm was tangible, I hope they go on to do well. Perhaps it sometimes helps if you are are starting with a completely blank sheet, you are not influenced by bad habits learned from other things.
Below is a video done by one of the other members, I personally didn’t have the time needed do this particular exercise, but after seeing everyone else’s efforts I hope soon to give it a try.

This course may not be considered as a how to course, but the motivation that got people taking action definitely compliments any other course you may take. The course taught us that we need to be organised (working on it) to plan properly, to have a goal but more importantly to take action.
TM + EP + Faster Success. What is this?
It is Time Management + Effective Planning = Faster success.
The main phrase which I will take from this course is
“Don’t get it Right, Get it Going”
